Five Star rating by Buyers Laboratory for Archive Studio Document Management Software
DocuLex Archive Studio 4.2.22 is a document management repository to form a cohesive content management, workflow and document collaboration system. Noteworthy is that it’s one of only a few offerings on the market that includes the archive component, WebSearch, and a robust scan component, Goby Capture, in a single package. Furthermore, except for the additional logins for the repository, all features and functionality are standard so businesses receive everything up front. The software helps organizations achieve greater efficiency, comply with regulations such as HIPAA and, most importantly, manage the lifecycle of myriad types of files. Once documents are scanned into the archive, or directly saved there from virtually any application, users can, among other things, search, retrieve, add metadata to and share files, all from a Web browser. Workflow is another part of the system and has been dramatically enhanced from the previous version. Powered by DocuLex’s “decision engine, “ organizations can automate the structure of document exchanges so work activities have consistency and are accomplished efficiently and to completion. Everything is handled through a secure web browser. Users can now leverage as many scanners as they wish to capture their documents, and those documents are uploaded and managed through our Archive Studio Software Suite Software as a Service. DocuLex Introduces Search and Retrieval Capabilities for Encrypted PDF Documents
New capability added to the WebSearch v 4.0 component of the DocuLex Archive Studio Content Management Software Suite
Winter Haven, FL – July 7, 2011 – DocuLex, Inc.(www.doculex.com), creator of award-winning,
business-ready document management software, announced today that its WebSearch v 4.0 document
management software, a component of the DocuLex Archive Studio Content Management Software
Suite, can execute document search and retrieval operations instantly for password protected PDF files.
This new capability that allows WebSearch to accept and manage encrypted PDF files is especially
valuable for organizations that are transferring and delivering files mainly via email or unsecure FTP.
Many of these organizations are transferring information that is highly confidential, such as social security
numbers, forms or payments and privileged patient medical data, so encryption is a must.
Said David Bailey, DocuLex President, “We were challenged by existing and new customers to provide
something that could help them manage all PDF files, not just the ones that weren’t encrypted. Since
email is becoming a primary transport method of files between organizations, and the fact that email
transmission is not secure, the ability to encrypt those files that contain sensitive data is becoming more
and more imperative. We find there are many applications out there that require protection for their
files, so it made sense to create something that could effectively manage this sort of protected file in a
business environment. With this added capability to the WebSearch component of our Archive Studio
Software Suite, we provide the user an all-encompassing product that will address any PDF document
and allow the system to securely and automatically handle this document per the user’s specifications.”

They will be looking to the Service Bureau for a solution, and now the Service Bureau can offer one by reselling Archive Studio software as a service.”
Said Dante DePanicis, President of Stellar Documents, Inc., a conversion services provider in FL,“We initially purchased the server-based Archive Studio Software Suite from DocuLex as a great solution to manage our documents internally. DocuLex Announces the Arrival of WebSearch Grid™
Document management application enables scalability across the enterprise
Winter Haven, FL – January 20, 2011 – DocuLex (http://www.doculex.com), creator of award-winning, business-ready document management software, announced today its release of WebSearch Grid, an addition to its WebSearch Enterprise component of the DocuLex Archive Studio content management software suite.
WebSearch Grid creates the ability to allow multiple, geographically-dispersed installations of WebSearch to work in tandem as a single WebSearch browser-based portal. As the volume of processing demands increase across an organization, WebSearch Grid provides the scalability needed to maintain optimum performance for intensified processing tasks.
“This Grid technology uniquely qualifies WebSearch as a linearly scalable application,” stated David Bailey, President of DocuLex. “Depending on the needs of an organization, each installation of WebSearch Grid may function as a general-purpose document repository, or different installations may be utilized for different purposes. For example, some installations may be used as portals for the user community, while others may be used to run virtually unattended, indexing new documents into WebSearch. For a company that has huge amounts of documents to add, one license of WebSearch Grid would double upload and indexing volume. The same applies for searching volume. With the addition of WebSearch Grid, an organization cannot outgrow DocuLex WebSearch document management software.”
In addition to enabling distributed processing across a full set of WebSearch installations (no matter the locations), WebSearch Grid provides support for increased performance through database replication. WebSearch Grid further distributes the database processing load by spreading database queries across replicated WebSearch databases.
